Population and Unemployment Data

Google is now providing population and unemployment data in a graphical format for all the states in the US. Seems like the company is making use of Trend Analyzer, which they acquired a few years back to showcase data in its search results in a graphical format.

If you want to give it a try, type in “Washington Unemployment” in google.

Here comes behavioural targeting

Google will monitor the web pages that individuals visit and the videos they watch on Youtube, which it owns, to compile a profile of each internet user. It will then use the information to serve up ads to viewers based on their interests. For example, someone with a history of browsing a lot of car websites would be sent car ads.

Implementing Google Analytics for a Successful Interactive Marketing Campaign

While there are numerous tools available, such as those from WebTrends, Omniture and Coremetrics — all of which will help you to track and monitor the traffic performance of your site — you must first evaluate what level of analytics you really need. For this reason, a good place to start is with Google Analytics.
